Instruction in timber framing and specialized woodcrafting courses (Windsor chair
making, Shaker boxes etc) and tool making and use is given through
Tillers
International.
The sites below are for lathe workers looking for
instruction, inspiration or connection to other
lathework relevant sites. Both Jeffery and Arthur are

If you are aware of other local instruction resources available to the public, please
contact me and I will be happy to post them. I am also interested in any possibilities
only open to certain groups, such as the woodshop at the School of Architecture, U of
M.
Woodworking classes are given for credit through Construction Technology (as the
Cabinetry and Millwork program, CON 170, 173, 175, 250 and 275), and there are
non-credit Basic Woodworking and Intermediate Woodworking offered through the
LifeLong Learning program; follow "LifeLong Learning" to "All Classes" to "Home and
Garden" category)
