The small boxes shown were test pieces assigned in
the first class session...
Each student was given one piece of raw lumber about
1 1/2 board feet in size. The instructions were to make
"a box, using only the one piece of wood, with a lid and
feet", no other specifications. Mixed species.
The boxes are shown with the same student's
apprentice cabinet or project.
